I thought the clutch switch cut the feed to the stalk?

It was done on my cars a while ago, but think the brake requires its input to the CC as well. Can,t remember if there was any wiring added or changed.

I took 3 pins out of an old 1.2 corsa loom ecu plug as it has the same connector.

I would love this on mine but it's the 2.2 I also suffer with sciatica and have some long euro trips this summer that I'm almost dreading because of having to hold the accelerator pedal in the same spot for hours on end. I'd pay someone to fit this for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+1 big time. Without the sciatica luckily but really boring to keep speed during transportation.

I've looked a little bit at after market stuff but they are either really expensive or doesn't seem up for the job.

If it can be backwards engineered from the 2.2 Astra Sri then it should be possible for the N/A VX too. Same ecu so just need to copy the pinouts from the Astra. You would need to add the clutch switch and extra wiring then code the ecu to work so its not as easy as with the tubby. Anyone near me with a 2.2 Astra?

Astra G 2.2 convertible & coupe had cruise as standard IIRC, can't remember it in the SRi but I only ever had a 2.0 SRi as a demo

I just added cruise in the variant configuration using op-com.

I've done that, and it doesn't work, nothing else in opcom ? Which car have you selected in opcom ? I've selected 2003 Astra G.

I've done 2003->Astra G->engine->Z20LET->programming->variant configuration->activate cruise control. Nothing else to activate ?

Of course, I've done all the wiring. (and that was not the happiest job I've ever done ! :ffs: )

That should be it if all wired correctly. You can check the cruise control stalk buttons and clutch/ brake switches are all working in the ecu module in op-com.

That could be useful then. All we would need to do is identify the 3 pins that feed the 12v signal back to the ecu from the stalk at the ecu connectors. In addition to the turbo we would also need to identify where the clutch switch feeds back to at the ecu, as this would be an additional sensor for the N/A engines. The bit I'm unsure of is if you could use op-com to program the cruise variant option by telling it you have an Astra instead of a VX as you can with the turbo..
