You can fit Obdtuners to Na and probably get a few hp and increase rev range a bit If you decide to sc later on all you have to do is upload a new map Nice and simple

This seems like a lot of fun to me as I love messing with things like this. A steep learning curve ahead I think. I've been on the website and it looks pretty cool. Doesn't say how to buy it though.

No you can use it on an NA but it's an expensive toy. It's really essential on an SC car.

CS map runs like a dog cold the ODB tuner map is actually better than the original mapping for the car when its standard. They normally hate been hot started and that goes with the ODB Tuner.

So you can fit an OBD tuner to an NA? If you then wanted to supercharge it would you have to by a different OBD tuner?
Once tou have bought Obd tuner / Dutch You can have anything mapped on it And if you please you can exchange maps with other users then just fine tune the maps to your car

I problem with Itbs is you need to rebuild the engine to get good power otherwise you're only looking at 155 but rebuilt engine with 4.17 and exhaust would be really good fun

It is

Sounds like a good bit of kit. Is it a whole new ECU or do you just wipe the existing ECU and add a new program?

FYI the graphs I posted earlier were of my NA running obdtuner and then the same car/ecu after adding the SC. There was no real difference of adding obdtuner to an otherwise standard NA but it was fun playing with the mapping while NA.

Thanks for the info, with the 16 bit fuel tables did you find the on/off gas smoother on the NA when it had Dutch software? I always found my NA had jerky power delivery when driving at tick over speeds in traffic in first gear.

I've never driven an NA on the ODB tuner software without SC. Its super smooth. Not experienced jerkiness in my standard cars but hot starting is always poor on 2.2s

Have you been at tick over speed in first gear and tried pressing the gas to add a tiny bit more speed? Didn't matter how slowly I pressed the gas it would do nothing nothing nothing then jerk forwards and if I came off the gas slowly the same thing would happen slowing down. Used to do my head in, most my life is spent in traffic. Funny enough my old Astra was the same. Damn Vauxhalls lol

I've never seen experienced hot starting issues, what do you class as issues?

The throttle has always been smooth on my vx. Sounds like there was something not quite right on your old vx. In the Dutch software you can change the relationship between the pedal and TB if you wanted lots of sensitivity for traffic work. Also, never any issues with hot starting.

In my experience the standard Z22SE engine minimum throttle is not small enough, on/off. Fezzasus said it was to do with 8 bit fuel tables.
