An over-active brain mostly that won't turn off. Had an idea, wrote it down, now have a the makings of a small paper. Now can't go back to sleep. Other times it's my one year old so unfortunately it doesn't stop when new borns grow up. Well it just do eventually I suppose.

I have a notebook at the side of my bed for that same reason. Our 2yr old now sleeps very well, just need to get the 2week old to switch day and night settings and we have a chance for a couple of hours each night.

For the are one or two now that have gone to the dark side now, is the v6 worth the extra ££££? I've been looking at them for a while now, love the styling and the interior seems much nicer than the vx but familiar at the same time. If I hadn't had my current car for so long and wasn't so attached I think I'd have took the plunge by now. Performance I'd imagine would be similar but obviously with a very different power delivery. Just a lot of £ to swop out when only doing £1-2k miles a year.

I had myself a Stage 1+ tubby back in the day, and the Exige V6 is pretty much the same car, but just altogether a nicer car to be in and to use. An example is a Tesco's steak compared to a butchers steak. Same animal, but less gristle :D

I'd personally say it's worth the extra £ - but then i'm biased. The quality is much improved, but it's still a Lotus...

Changed the steering wheel for the Cup one, which is a standard vx one  which is half clad in alcantara.

Feels even more like a vx now  though it is much better.

Nope, but i haven't used the Cup's stupid air bag replacement thing, i reused the airbag on the original wheel.

Ah sorry just seen your 2nd pic with it fitted - does look nicer with the alcantara sections. Luke

Have you tweaked the geo at all? The two other 350s ive driven hard (not mine yet ) were certainly better in this respect and initial turn in than the standard V6S's i test drove. A friend has a CR which has had some geo tweaks and was the pick of the bunch from what ive tried.

yep,

I've removed three shims which brought it from 0 to -1.5 negative camber.

That made all the difference. i think it would benefit from a little toe out, just to settle it for good, but then they tend to track all over the place which i don't really want.

I've now got a set of Trofeo R tyres to go on, which race pack used to include and on which the race pack (all cars now) dampers and geo were designed on. I'll see how that gets on.

at first sign of salt though its getting locked up, so not many drives if any left

Ah good stuff - the CR was running all shims remove (bar one to balance with the abs module) and greater toe out as you mention. Didn't seem to have any ill effects traimlining wise but we were on pretty decent roads.

Be interesting to see how you get on with the Trofeo's - when my forged wheels rock up in January plan is to stick some ZZR on my cast set for track use. Id get the Trofeos but my northerness struggles to let me buy new tyres with hardly any tread on them!

Always a key criteria when it comes to tyre selection! Your are right though :D Did you see blinkys tyre post on seloc? Was actually quite useful and only mildly condescending which was quite refreshing :D
