My vx and my exige have near identical power to weight ratios. Somehow though the exige feels in a different league.

Torque

Pretty much the same torque / weight ratios and gearing..

I'll go for chassis and electronics.. On the road you often have to watch how you deploy the torque (part of the fun I suppose). The Exige with its relatively advanced traction and stability systems means you can drive them nearer their limit without risk being bitten..

Random useless info - the V6 front wheels with fit a VX (5x110)  but the rears won't (5x114).

I guess thats essentially because they grafed an Evora rear end onto an Elise..

Performance wise, my old stage 4 vxt felt quicker, not sure if that was just the wack of the turbo..  but the exige has a super smooth power delivery, which makes it p*ss easy to drive.

Only thing I have noticed it the lower torque is more noticeable in the higher gears compared to the tubby, having to make more use of the gears to get the most out the v6.

Yup, its a complete missmash of bits.

Aluminium cast rear wishbones from evora, fronts are steel like the vx/elise.

And wheels are very odd as a result. Thats why there are very few alternatives.

In practice though, it all looks fairly kosher.

It's weird, having been a passenger in both, the V6 is a lot faster. I'm not sure it's the chassis either, the SC VX didn't have any issues with full power in second. Ultimately no substitute for power I guess...

So the Exige will get used Summer Only, and the VX will get used only when the Exige isn't being used... but not in the winter... VX will be used... erm... never

yeah, erm, I can see a slight problem.

VX needs its second refresh, and without a real deadline, its bound to take years.

I took the exhaust off a month ago.

That is a very sexy car! I much prefer the look of the Exige S3 to the S1 or S2 I had.  I would have had one last year if it wasn't for the impending offspring.
