I have to admit your steering wheel does look good, you must have the patience of a saint.

The foam in the seat is another good mod, dunno if I have the courage to hack into my own seat...

Thanks Nev :) It's not very hard to lift the leather from the seat. Took me about 30 mins to lift it and it can just glue down again with yellow glue (wood glue) if you want it to go back to standard.

Looks great, but be careful using foam on the undertrays parts near the exhaust can get very hot.

Thanks, this is very far from the exhaust or anything hot.

Just replaced the aux belt, hopefully it will stop slipping under full throttle in first now:

Here is a guide:

Fitting another gearbox breather as I did to my last VX220 before 07/11/16 track day at Snetterton:

Here is a guide from when I did it last time:

Does anyone know which bolts holes are correct at the back of the seat?

Posted Image20161015_091546 by Richard Fanders, on Flickr

The holes closest the drivers door make the top of the seat hit the head restraint, here is a photo when the top of the seat doesn't hit the head restraint because I'm using the two holes closest the centre console:

But when I use the two holes closest to the centre console I badly scrape along the centre console when moving the seat forwards and backwards. I didn't experience these problems in my last car:

Looks like you're missing the two L shaped spacers from the runners

I remember having L shaped spacers on my old car, what do they do, move it up, left or right?

Running really well now, ticks over smoothly and acclerates smoothly at any rpm all the way up to 7800rpm. Shift light comes on at 7500rpm but peak power is between 7400 and 7800, pretty much 215 across those 400rpm which makes gear changes flexible.

215.9 is not bad, it made 218.9 in mine many years ago, but with a different exhaust system. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

It was 207 bhp I think before he mapped it. He said it was already fairly good map at high rpm and most changes where made at low rpm which is what I expected. It was way off at low rpm though. Drives really well now! 3000 miles in 3 months and my insurance is 6000 a year :o

just realised mine had stage 3 cams and the weapon R with the modified 2.5" Milltek back in April 2009 when it was mapped.

You also have 3 ft lb more torque than when it was in mine.

Which proves the 2.5" Tullet full exhaust does work well :D

Obviously the weaponR was the only decent manifold available at the time :P

It is a good exhaust, nice and quiet on the long drives also and doesn't overpower the sound of the ITBs when the throttle is open. I don't think I'll notice the difference between 215.9 and 218.9 because the map added around 9bhp and I'm struggling to feel it. Sounds better since the map though :) :) I'm just about to try a cold start, so I'll see how it goes.
