This is well worth the time, really freshened up the interior of my old VX220

Not painting the middle as that's fine and you don't see it.

Black bags worked a treat, not a touch of over spray anywhere. Just burnt my cooking though, damn!

I tried and tried and tried but the passenger side foot well is too damaged to bring back to pristine:

So I clean up as best I could and sealed it with tiger seal to stop rain and air getting in.

The damage is cause by using mats (carpet) without foam backing so the stones and grit really gouges into the aluminium.

So I've got some new mats and I decided to put carpet under the foot rest to cover up the poor looking floor, as you don't stand on this carpet I'm sure it will be fine.

Marked out the holes by putting paste in the holes from underneath.

These speedster mats are a fraction too long so bend at the end.

Gawd, so much cleaning effort, you'd be horrified if you got in mine I think.

How many miles have you done in it over how much time?

Not much this last month as it's not running right but I got it on the road in Aug with 52k on the clock and it's now nearly at 59k I think. I only use it at weekends.

7,000 miles in 6 months is good, at least you drive it lots. :)

Can't see how I've done that many to be honest. But I have done some long journeys in it.
