Does it stay stuck in the groove and around the vents? Did you peel off the original coating, or stick over the top?

Stuck it over the top, its not bad in the groove, it does lift a little, in hindsight if I was to do it again I would spray a little vinyl glue in the groove.

Second steering wheel in process, I got the leather off with about 1/20 of the damage this time, so less for me to repair. I find 70 degrees celsius in the oven to peel up the skived tabs on the perforated leather, then let it go cold and prise the thick leather off carefully with pliers. It's the heat that causes the foam to break.

I filled in their quote request form.

Will see what comes back.

Cheers

Did you get a quote back?

Yes. Sub £160 inc p&p as indicated earlier here.

Will post up the results, if I ever get round to posting the damned thing.

Damage repaired, smoothed and cleaned. Far less yellow this time as far less damage:

A little wonky, should have spent more time lining it up. But nappa feels so good!

Haha, I may start selling them soon. Trouble is, it's many hours work for the money I could sell them for so currently doing it for myself as a bit of fun/rewarding work.
