My CV joint boot is split, I've heard I need a Korean boot, does anyone know which one I need?

Also, I would like to use Back on Track as they have been recommended for replacing the boot but at the moment it is a 2 week wait with them. I've just waited 4 weeks to drive the car and I don't really want to wait another 2 weeks, anyone know someone or a garage that can fit it soon? I'm in Essex.

Thanks.

Try *How to* CV Inner boot replace thread in guides and tutorials.

Do it yourself... the weather's nice and anyone half decent (PSR, Essex Autosport etc)  will have a wait time.

Does your search function not work?

Do we need 6 threads upon questions nobody wants answering?

Thanks, I thought about search just after I posted this and I got this:

I'll look into it, taking the drive shaft out sounds a bit scary though.

I may give it a go if you think it's easy, I'm worried I'd take the drive shaft out and then lose all my oil from my diff.

Even I did it and it's still fine a few years on... go on... give it a whirl....

Sheesh - what is it with you and obsessing over oil loss? :D

Sorry, I took the time to do the polls because I though others would be interested. I was only interested in the NA and tuned NA.

Difficult to put in  a poll, as oil is lost through the rocker cover breather, or actually consumed by the engine (Which is bad)

About 0.25 miles per enough to mess up your engine bay :o

It would still be interesting to see how much people get through, some engines do use oil and it sounds like the Z22SE is one of them from my experience. Although my old NA seemed to use more than my forged Saab engine which is unexpected.

Current price from Kia is £45+VAT and comes with clamps and grease. I am going to check to make sure it's the inner one as I haven't actually seen it yet, just seen the mess.

I raised this exact thread last month... has all the information and I managed to do it myself in about 4 hours, so a garage should do it in 2.
