I find that removing the charcoal filter can cause a build up of fumes inside the rear clam, especially if always garaged.

I would not recommend removing it, but it appears yours has already been removed. My advice would be to refit it and connect it back up to the throttle body via the fuel tank vent valve (evap) shown above (the thing doing nothing)

The last thing i thought i would buy to the car...

Does the system also hinder fuel leakage if a rollover would occur?

there should be a yellow one way valve for 'rollover' protection.

I would value the parts you require at about £30 if you locate them secondhand, which should be quite easy from a breakers.

If you are going to keep the charcoal filter disconnected id run the tank breather pipe through a rollover valve and then through floor just infront of the rear wheel.

Sounds like a plan, thanks for the tip  thumbsup

Been to every fabric store within a 50k radius " a bit for the ride in itself  ;) " but also to soak up as much knowledge as possible about gluing Alcantara.

Posted Image

I was thinking about a two tone Alcantara mix on dash/doors/seats and black roof. But i think i have concluded with a two tone seat "black alcantara on the sides and a dark grey in the middle". Doors; Black alcantara on main bit and shoulder pad and then do the plastic bits with carbon instead. Sills in carbon, and dashboard in black alcantara with the gauge housing in carbon.

Plan is to do it myself "except for the seats".

In other words boring but safe. Black alcantara/carbon mix is always a win in my eyes

Would you guys say that this is close to the color of the above pictured vx?

Its a wrap from 3M called 1080 Satin dark grey S261.

I had a hard time finding a matching color for the vx, It might be the lights where the pics were taken that is making a slight darkbronze accent in the dark grey.
