I shouldn't completely remove the wheel arch liners from the front? They're both knackered and I'm thinking of removing them as opposed to replacing them. Ta

If there are no liners, a stone thrown up from the tyre could make hair line cracks in the guard paint surface.

Stones dent steel guards with no liners, especially evident on race cars.

No reason at all. If you don't drive in the wet and only on glass roads. Ignore the doomsayers.

Just like you, I cannot for the life of me think of any, exercise in statin' the bleedin' obvious reasons why not to do with wheel arch liners.  All they do is add weight to the car.

Thanks all. Car doesn't get used on the road (only To and from circuits). It's a track car (road legal) so don't really care about the possible cosmetic issues of stones and bodywork. Water ingress is an issue thoughalthough the state the liners are in at the moment, there would be no difference.
