Such brilliant functionality that people have been crying out for - no wonder they've got bear gills doing a dramatic video, with dramatic diving, and dramatic music. It really doesn't get any more exciting than this.

I can just imagine being on an expedition in antartica while my car is at the supermarket in Ilfracombe and my girlfriend coming back with the shopping - and normally I'd be helpless to help out, but now with this amazing functionality I can rearrange the seats even from antartica - maybe. It really is a new dawn for seat control, and even for motoring. The world will never be the same again.

Thank you Land Rover

Be good re arranging the back seats from inside the shop only to realise you have smashed the sh*t out of eggs and milk you placed safely on the back seat earlier and forgot.

Poor benji is going to enjoy a broken leg when you drop the back seats on him from inside tesco so you can fit your new "50 LED TV in the back.

Just read an article on self closing door using suction (600nm), and people loosing fingers with that.

This may just be up that ally.

Ha ha, no doubt it will appeal to the suggestible gadget brigade. All these sort of "developments" are usually based on case studies of target purchasers, so even though it seems a pointless gimmick to many like us, others will find it the most exciting they will do all year.

Could this be retro-fitted to the VX seats?

I expect someone will be selling a kit for this on eBay sometime soon!

Of course I will only be fitting a seat kit if it is in gleaming carbon fibre, because I'm worth it ;)

They have a team of +300 engineers working on their software and that's the app they've chosen to highlight and make a big expensive video of.

Don't hold your breath for the rest of the crap they're going to come out with.
