Hey folks. I today did an HID fog lamp mod. TBH it was an absolute ball ache and not one I'd recommend. Results look good but not worth the effort (just stick in 6000k Osram LED bulbs). Sadly pics won't upload. Anyhow, now they're in (I did it just because I had the parts laying about and a bit of time) I may as well use them as daylight running lights.... How do I make all the lighting switches work indipendantly? I'm guessing there must be a control / sequence wire on the reverse or each switch and am hoping it's a simple case of clipping each? Which wire do I cut? Might someone be kind enough to advise which colour to snip? Or better still send / post a snap of the wiring... Please no wiring diagrams, as I wouldn't have a clue! I may yet swap out all the switches for simple toggles with an led on / off indicator bulb. Thanks in advance. Benzola.

Great, you've fitted HIDs into a lamp not designed for them and now you want to have them on all the time? No thanks. I'd rather not be blinded.

You must use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves.

Chill Fez. I just want the option of indipendant switching. Anyhow... The HID fogs (if run during daylight) wouldn't blind you... And the rake on them is so steep they wouldn't blind you even if run at night. I did previously state this is not the greatest or easiest mod in the universe... Effort 12/10 reward 4/10.

I completely disagree with you and so does the law.

the fogs are better used as holes to get air to the brakes

Anyway, the wiring diagrams in the "dubious legality" copy of the TIS you share will tell you the wires you need to fiddle with.

Oh ek. Just a little tinker of a mod, not a state crime.... All I asked is which lead to snip, jeez.

Ironically I can't even read the dubious TIS file, it's PC only and I'm mac!
