TTRS will monster the Cayman. Totally.

But the Audi will have no tactility/soul.

Will look to try and get time to go out and play over the weekend 😉 You do need to drive one with the later spec med10 ecu as a very different drive to the earlier tt RS and rs3 Also at a min stick in dynamic mode to get the default crack pop on blips and downshifts on demand 😉 DG

Ok, thank you.

I will ask the sales chappy.

I'm presuming their demo will be quite a late car, but I'll find out.

Yup, I don't expect they will know.

I'm pretty sick and tired of main dealer salesmen at the moment in their fancy suits, the last few days have been laughable.

One of them was good, but sadly he was busy so I had to endure ones that have clearly had little training, or just think they can do and say what the hell they like.

Little did they know that I've been in the motor trade industry for 28 years from a car valeter, to sales manager, to proprietor of my own forecourt (failed)  to now semi retired and taking it easy.

Good call, and they have been on my radar, but over the years I've seen how bad the build quality is on JLR products.

I hear the new ones are better though.

I bought a late XJ back from Wales recently, was very impressed with that, very nearly got my cheque book out.

Difficult to look past a Maserati Granturismo S (the 4.7).  With your budget, I'd struggle to find anything else which made such a wonderful noise. You'll also get £10,000 change too.

Might stretch to the normal V8 at £45-50k but not the R version. Still 500 bhp, so still supercar performance.

Bargain if he did, cheapest R on Autotrader is £56k at the moment. Although I though he bought the v6 version.

Quick update, I've deposited a TTRS build slot today.

I'm being told the first customer cars are likely to be March 1st.

Thank you every one for your input, just hope it won't turn out to be a bit dull.

Should be able to choose options in the coming weeks, thinking Daytona grey, sports exhaust, Bang & Olufsen, bit of extra leather.

Tim

Should be an interesting purchase. Will you keep it standard and look to get a choon on it at some point?

Dealer given you any idea on option prices yet?

I'll keep it standard I'd have thought.

The dealer can't price any options yet, but looking at the option prices on the TTS I'm sure they won't be much different.

I think Oct 15th they'll be able to configure the car. I'll put an update on here once I know a bit more.

Grey Audi. Mmmmmm. 😂😂

I know, but grey is good for resale, and I've always liked grey motors.

Had an A1 in Daytona grey and that was lovely, really suits the black grilles etc.

Cant have Sepang Blue, missus' car a similar colour.

Think white will soon go out of fashion.

The only bright red car I'd have is a Ferrari.

And black, lovely when it's clean, but having been valeting cars for the last 28 years I know it looks dusty the very next day.
