They are far quicker round the bends than you think. Just does not always feel it Any safe 4wd pocket rocket has a feeling of dullness as they are not overly dangerous to drive and forgiving.....especially with electronic support But this is true of 95% of all new cars and make it far too easy to drove fast......que soo many plank drivers in fast bmw, Audi, etc etc Love it or hate it on the road not much in the price range will stick with it. Who does not like having a car that is faster than the said other options. 😊 I am at the £5k sports car budget so never have this kind of dilemma lol DG

I had that dilemma a year ago.

I paid £5,000 for a BMW Z3 done only 36,000 miles.

Not very quick, doesn't handle, but 6 pot sounds nice,

And the good ones are creeping up in value.

I had a blat around Wales with my Mate following me in his TTRS. It was pretty quick. Looked nice as he added a couple of side stripes. The roads were wet so he kept up. However on the way back the roads were dry, then he didnt

Having had a nosey around the Alfa 4C parked outside my house last night... my £50k would be on that.

It could drive like a tractor for all I care. That thing in the flesh is fcuking stunning!

Got to agree..

Plus you're not far off an Exige V6 which would probably eat it for road and track performance (and that's before you spend ££££ on getting the Alfa to drive as it should). The Alfa is a lovely 'object' though..

Again parked next to my house... sndhaving stared at an Exige V6 all the way home, it just looks sooooooooooooo much better. It may technically be a bag of w4nk, but in met red it visually outclasses the Exige by a mile.

Recently serviced a 4c that had the front suspension blocks from Alfa workshop on it ,transformed it on the road no more sneeze and you're in a tree steering . Also a QV version on the way .

Think my £50k would have gone on an v8 f-type, steering feel will never be as good as a exige/vx but looks like a completely bonkers car from the reviews I've seen.

I think I'd struggle a little with the 4C's interior, it does not smack of 50k quality. But then neither does the V6 Exige

If you mean the last generation coupe, I looked at them and they have appreciated significantly since new. Check out the prices.

I have just bought an APR Stage 1 TTRS with the S-Tronic box, it is a fabulous little car with bonkers performance.  The launch control is mental!  Plus my misses can drive it which keeps her happy... However, as Jon has mentioned the steering is very dull, it will take some getting used to.

Glitch is bang on the money, I have just been to the Nurburgring in a 440 BHP 1M.  It turned heads everywhere!  With the prices of the E46 CSL and E30 M3 in mind I would say the 1M is a very safe investment.
