Ah Blinky

I do agree with Martin on the black louvres though, it makes the car in my eyes look a bit 'cheap' rather than more purposeful.

Does anyone know a V6 Auto owner? There doesn't seem to be many posting about them.

I noticed you can miss a gear if you try to change too higher up the rev range... but after the VX box, its just a matter of becoming used to the different feel

The change from 1st to 2nd was shite in my Cup car and a number of times I couldn't select 1st gear.

Yup same box in mine and you have to 'put' it in gear and I've also struggled putting it in first a few times,I had toyed with a different shifter but I seem to be getting used to it now

Its undoubtedly a cost cutting exercise though. All the cars coming down the line when i had a look around yesterday now have all the engine trim removed as you cant see into the bay through the louvres. SC is now silver with no badging either.

i quite like the view into the engine bay

i wouldn't die in a ditch over it though, the louvres made the cabin darker and reduced rear visibility was the most annoying part

I know what you mean - it's nice to see the lump through the window - quite Ferrari like. Rear visibility is terrible with the louvred but infinitely better than my s2 in that you can see 'something' so I guess I'm just used to it. Was surprised to see they even bothered fitting a mirror, they didn't on the s2.

Wow, these things do 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, that pretty damn zippy. Looking fwd to meeting one on the road with a decent driver. Mind you I barely ever see one (or a VX for that matter).

Did your NA more or less keep up with them (up to mid speeds) then? Depends a lot on the driver in my experience, loads of drivers back off early (me included!).
