Thanks for the offer, last year me and the better half was seriously looking into it but in the end bought a larger house in the UK instead. Would have been interestingAll, Thanks for the warm welcome, I'll post some pictures as a separate individual reply in the post.
In Canada you can bring in just about anything as long as its 15 years old. Some of the Provinces and insurance companies are more difficult if its a RHD car, but in Ontario and BC there are a fair number of Japanese RHD imports running around so those two are OK. If you are serious about importing your VX220, let me know and I can help you with the process.EPIC I wanted to know if you can bring in VX220s, mine is 15 this year Nice job, welcome to the forum, have fun and post pics!

I got a new soft rubber washer to replace the original one (as pictured in the above post) which had hardened over time. 53 cents from the hardware store. Parked the car on a hill to vent any air and it seems to work so far.
Is the jubilee clip trick to put it around the knurled brass screw to add torque when tightening by hand or do you actually use it to seal something around the hole?
Thanks

jubilee clip is when all else fails and you need a new hose, usually a new seal will fix it

what vocky said.
but clip goes around the rubber neck (on the way up to the screw) on the pipe.

Thanks for the updates on the clip. In the end the rubber gasket was most of it, but it still had a small bit of damp so I added the clip. Seems like the bleeder insert bond must come loose over time. So with the new gasket and the clip, its all sealed now.

Unfortunately Cars and Coffee is done for this year. I got my safety certificate this morning and everyone else at the shop was getting snow tires put on... sigh. But I'll be out to C&C next year for sure, so maybe April or May. I'm looking forward to showing off the Speedster as I suspect it will be unique.
The local C&C in Toronto has a nice mix of cars, all over the map. If interested here is a link to some coverage of the last one this year (September).

I was not there for that one, but a favourite oddball I've seen before is the Japanese market Maza Cosmo (halfway down the page). Once 15 years old you can bring in most anything to Canada.

Awesome ride,
I imported a Skoda into Canada, and although the paperwork was a hassle, in the end it was worth it.
Are you able to insure your speedster through Classic coverage?

Thanks. The paperwork at the border was not bad, but the license office was a hassle, took a lot of return trips... but also worth it in the end.
I could not get classic coverage on the Speedster as I have two licensed drivers in the household and only one real daily... so the daily and the Speedster are regular insurance and the Riviera is as a Classic.
How old is the Skoda?
