HI Guys

Is this the next best thing after a vx and lotus…

Kerb weight is under a ton….240bhp from factory 1.7 turbo engine…40+ mpg combined.

still 40k plus out of my pocket range, hopfully these will drop in value fast…they really look the bollocks…looked slightly smaller than the vx.

Here a quote from Pogea Racing with regards to their plans on a 415 hp Version:

"The addition of these parts makes sense, as Pogea Racing plans to significantly boost the power of the four-cylinder engine from 240 horsepower to around 415 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

"To achieve this, various engine modifications are necessary: new turbochargers, tubular exhaust manifold and an exhaust system with valve control will replace the serial components. In addition, we optimise the fuel supply and the cooling system," explains company founder Eduard Pogea. "

Electric turbo’s?

Going further, introducing bigger turbo for even more power will result more lag of course, so we will have to wait how well they solve this problem.
On the other hand new type of Electric turbocharger is developed. Electric motor driving a compressor up to 70.000rpm. Eliminating lag! A car with electric turbocharger is on its way from another brand. If this is successful surely other brands will use this type of turbo also!

The best thing I've driven on track other than a vx/S1/S2 is a well sorted MX5

Yeti is still one of the best chassis' we make IMO (as a journalist, not a PR).

And if I can persuade Richard to sell this one... (now 750bhp)

I have actually requested a /yeti as my next company car. Get my new company wheels Friday though. 280bhp, four-wheel drive and launch control. Oh, and a 625-litre boot... :ninja:

I also thought the MX5 was a good car when I drove one. The new ones are just 975 Kg, which explains a lot.

Yes it is. Citigo not finished though. It's because the Citigo was taking so long that he built the yeti in the meantime  Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

but it's so pretty... (apart from the slightly odd lights) - Of course, you have me at a disadvantage as I've never driven (or even seen, other than in pictures) one.

And Autocar raved about it.... www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/alfa-romeo/4c

To me, that Atom doesn't look particularly well setup or driven, far too little traction both on the front and rear. Maybe the geo is knackered, but if not then it needs more rubber to actually stay in a straight line.

This is the same Yeti, wonderful engine it:

It just shows the power denialists what a bit of power and 4x4 can do ;)

Alfa now offer a choice of headlight design.  They obviously listened to feedback on the fugly originals.

It just shows the power denialists what a bit of power and 4x4 can do ;)

You say that but when he gets a cleanish lap in at Snett I'm still 4 seconds quicker and mine has a very tired 140bhp. Plus Snett is a proper power circuit.

Yes, we all know that a Yeti and a Caterham are vastly different cars (and quite possibly the drivers too), and that (as I am sure you know) is not the point I was making.

The point I was making is, that powerful Yeti is faster than a factory Yeti.

In exactly the same way, a Caterham with 400 BHP/Ton is faster than an identical Caterham with 100 BHP/Ton.

It's simple logic, but it seems there is always someone wanting to argue.
