Local place that tweeks the RS has heard of 8 turbos they know of needing to be replaced on the new model, a friend with one has also had various turbo related problems.

A trader friend had one that was practically new and needed a rebuild. Didn't put him off too much as he's bought and sold a few since. I think he has one in at the minute actually.

Didn't drive the RS in the end but had a good nosey around. Comparing it to the golf interior wise, it does seem super busy button and stork wise.

Drove the R this afternoon and the power increase over the GTI Edition 35 is noticeable. Being a damp day the traction was also that bit better going round the twisties of  Newton Blossomville.

Sounds like you want the Golf.

But isn't the RS a bit more "wooh"? A bit "waaay"? A bit more.... Rob? Especially in that electric green that they do.

If only they did the RS in Alien Green ;)

I'm not sure BS, I'm going to have a look around a CTR next week I think as I'm curious to see one up close.

Lol we all know Rob is far from proper 😊 Cant argue with the new breed of 4wd special hatches and ability to cover ground very quick! Still be a great setup in a vx 😉 or lesser elise/exige 😋 Enjoy Rob 😉 DG

Great choice rob. I want to replace my a6 with an s3, which is broadly the same. Sport back has a bit more space though.
