I had mine done earlier this year. £4367 to take the old doors away, knock out the central pillar, fit a big steel, and fit electrically operated Hormann sectional doors:

What company was that, and what width is the door?

I used Eastern Garage Doors, and the door is 5000mm x 2250mm.

Cost breaks down as follows:

£2197 plus VAT for the door, electrics, 2 remotes, removal and disposal of old doors

$2084 plus VAT to remove the central pillar, supply and fit a steel, uPVC around the door and make good the floor and electrics

Got to say im not a fan of the UPVC bits, but if thats the only option, then i guess im stuck with it. Id want a rosewood door, but they also bump the price up.

You may not need the uPVC bits as your existing doors are already set back to where the new door would sit. My old doors were flush with the outside wall so when the new door was fitted I had bits of half-painted brick on show which looked awful.
