To give an update on this. I can definitely get them made, but there's a sting in the tail. Minimum order is 500 units 250 left 250 right. Exact cost is to be finalised but would be circa £110 per side plus postage. Would be stainless steel inner so pretty much fit and forget. Only issue is shifting 250 sets. Thoughts are that I would be stuck with them for the next 10 yrs so not sure if I can progress. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

I doubt anyone in the community has the resources to sit on ~£50k worth of stock. Did you manage to identify the OEM supplier of was the only option to start from scratch?

Spent a bit of time looking into options on having these made recently. Have found a supplier that would be willing to make 95% of the seal and I could make the end cap and bond it or find a way to re-use original end caps. Won’t be 100% OEM but a darn site better than the ones most cars are running. If we decide to run with it, they could be supplied via MMG as a pair (you’d want them to match I guess).

Anyway, before I pursue this any further, I’m trying to work out if the selling price would be worth the investment in tooling and time. Realistically, what do you think a fair price would be for a pair? Hint: Joe - £5 wouldn’t swing it.

We have also been looking into this. We have an OEM sample of a lotus seal with a company in Germany which they say they can copy. We haven’t got as far as quotes yet. MOQ is 250 pairs though.
*IF* they are at least OEM quality with stainless internals I think we’d be looking at around £100 each.
