It could be a couple of months. All depends on getting the samples right which has proven difficult, and slow.
Yes, you can use Elise seals but they're about £130 each (when you can get them) and still have the mild steel insert. The new ones will have stainless inserts. They will also be the same as the Elise ones - you just need to cut off the internal strip. The VX market is obviously too small on its own.

I bought a pair of elise seals when they were 16 quid each. As Jr says, it is VERY obvious, to the extent that it looks like the elise seal was an add on to the original VX seal.
