I'm thinking about buying a wheel which is compatible with Xbox one and PC. Options are the Logitech G920 for £180ish, or the Thrustmaster TX leather for £320. I think the universal opinion online is that the the TX has a better more realistic feel, but I've read that Thrustmaster customer service are a bit crap when things break. Any thoughts?

Ive had a T500 now and had many different wheels, (not because they broke, its because i never know which i prefer) i have settled on the alacantara one atm and its good..

tried the fanatec stuff and i wasnt blown away by it, it was good but i dont think it offered anything more than the T500 considering the price is 3x as much. you do get a load cell pedal which you just have to get used to, but i cant say ive ever felt the need..

i would go with the TX personally.

Fanatec is crazy money for a full set with manual gear shifter. What's the Thrustmaster build quality like?

pretty solid :)

ive had mine a couple years and its still as good as new..

with the THR8 shifter after about a month the resistance lowers and the gearstick becomes floppy, but a quick tighten with a flat blade screwdriver and its back to normal again.. (i have mine as stiff as it will go)

Amen brother! I'll get it ordered. Thinking about this too, I have an ekornes recliner I could use it with then move it in to the spare room when I'm done (until I can get a cheap oculus and have it permanently in the office lol) http://www.gamepod.co.uk/gt1.asp

Thrustmaster 500 here for over 2 years and it has been 100% rock solid and reliable. Heard of a few guys on one of my simracing sites who had problems and got good CS from TM too.

I've ordered but skimped on the frame for now. Gone for GT omegas stand up version. http://www.gtomegara...ing-wheel-stand If it's crap I'll upgrade later but if it turns into a clothes horse I haven't spent too much.

A vote for the Thrustmaster here, went from a G29 to a T300 and it's another level.

Yeah I have the Xbox with forza for now, but have a home theatre PC I built a few years back gathering dust which would do as a base. It's pretty quick and quiet with a ram and graphics card boost it should run assetto corsa no problem.

Definitely don't buy the G920 for PC, it doesn't work on Assetto Corsa. G29 is good and the same price.

No I think that's PS3. But Logitech cocked up with the drivers on G920 massively!

Oooh. Interesting.. Not that i would have either, the g29 is just a re-shell of the g27, same gear system inside i think too.. After you gone tx you just dont consider anything else.

currently I am using the wheel and pedals to control my combine harvester in farming simulator 2017
