Have you tried it in different DPM modes? I can heal and toe fine in mine in touring/race and all off. It doesn't like it in sport mode, something to do with the ecu detecting simultaneous brake and throttle inputs. A little more camber and a smidge of toe out on the front certainly sharpens things up. When are we getting a v6 sub forumThanks Pete that will be much appreciated, it will be hard for me to sneak out on track without my usual sparing partners spotting the large bright red thing! Done a few hundred miles so far, feelings so far is that it is like a grown up vx, suspension feels good, gears feel goo, front ends needs some tightening up which a geo should do, and most frustratingly, Exiges do not blip, it is almost impossible to be able to blip as you go down the gears, it alos feels like its revving higher than it is so even when in sixth, I keep feeling I should change up a gear on the motorway. At this time though the weathers been so bad I've only hit the top revs twice, so lots of learning to do. Martin S

Hi Peter, Have you got your forged wheels coming direct from from Lotus, I've had big delays on mine, be interested if you could pm me any prospective dates you've been given if so.. I've got some ZZR in waiting for mine, think the 215 front will help with front end grip and the slightly lower profile will introduce a few mm of rake into the car. Reports are they last better than the Trofeos too. Tried touring and sport modes and it will not blip on the downshifts which is frustrating. Not planning doing too much on this one at this time as have done too much of that before but will be getting the geo, new good brake fluid then avon zzr's at some time, then 'trying' to leave it alone.
Joined a Lotus forum last night, didn't feel right in any way!

Is this when your actually on the brake doing heel and toe or just down shifting when 'coasting'? I seem to recall reading something about some weird EU legislation effect certain cars with an ECU update. It was along the line of if the brake and throttle are pressed at the same time the brake would take precedence.. think it was on TLF, might be worth a search. The difference in throttle response between touring/race means you do need to noticeably adjust how much you 'blip' it. I'm dialled into mine now but its certainly seems to come easier when your pressing on and doing it higher up in the rev range.

Ah just assumed you meant the Lotus forged ones, look ok, any details on weights?
Havent got weights.....was going to weigh them when they arrive without tyres....then again with tyres and compare to the standard ones i take off.
Incidentally pretty sure mine doesnt blip on down shift either.

Not heel and toeing, just driving as I normally would and when going down the gears you try to blip to reduce the engine braking and raise the revs and nothing, just a delay like its thinking about it.

Hmm that's properly odd, the only issues I've ever experienced was some hesitancy to do so in sports mode but that was with simultaneous brake/throttle (heel and toe).
Just as a throttle blip alone works fine, its especially effective near red-socked ramblers in the peaks as the 2bular tends to let off a lovely crack in doing so

pedal overlap , more of a safety feature , but if you LFB then its annoying

You don't need to blip for normal road driving, at a guess it's because your still new to it. I don't even notice anymore in mine
I unconsciously heel and toe pretty much every downshift i make regardless of what car i'm driving - rev matching reduces stresses on the drivetrain on the road as well as track. If i couldn't do it in my v6 it would make me lose my fcuking mind. Tend to use LFB on track only but have had a play in mine and seems to be fine in Race/Off.
