Has anyone attended javelins sprint series ? 

ive just put a enquiry in about attending a few events but cant commit to anything more than that due to work commitments, 

 

If anyone has attended can you give be a brief breakdown of what extra safety devices i would need in the car and personal safety items

The vx suffer's because it's a 2.2 yet an elise is in a lower class.

looks like i would be in classB1 because of the CC and running on E-marked tires 

i think if i had to go into A1 it would mean spending on competition tires and probably be competing with 1000hp evos etc

I thought there was a LoT or Seloc spring series that had a few VX in as well

Hey guys, I ran my MR2 in a few of these last year and my VX at Snetterton on Sunday. It is a great bit of fun and as Chris has mentioned, a fairly safe way of competing. In terms of track time, you'll get 2 sighting laps, a practice run and 6 timed laps. On that basis, a track day will probably give you better value for money in terms of track time. However, there is always a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the competitive side adds a little something. I'd love to see a few more VX owners there and would definitely recommend trying it to see what it's all about. The Javelin lot are a lovely bunch and newcomers are always made welcome.
