Massively oversubscribed championship from what I've heard, very little chance of getting a place.

*know Seriously.. Its all down to how fast you are on the day, if you are faster more often than your competitiors then you win. Its just a bit of fun.. its no serious series, it means nothing at all. Your acting like its F1 :/ Get a grip. .
There's no point in doing it if you're not going to do it properly and be enthusiastic

If it's banzai you're looking for what about hillclimbing?Hi Foxy, Yes I'm sure they're amazing, and I know its really good close racing likewise MX5's. Racing is just such a huge commitment and frankly I'm not sure I can be arsed with it all. I've heard too many horror stories over the years cost wise following Mark, Elise trophy guys, Captain (Sorry mate not convinced its cheap), etc its such a slippery slope. People say you can do it on a budget, but I can guarantee I wouldn't be one of them. Having done a few laps of Cadwell together I can't imagine you managed it on a budget either When I said other options I should have clarified what I meant : which was other options for sprinting one lap banzai series! I'd love to do Elise trophy but the cost is just mental, I don't think the series is very balanced either. Just looking for a happy medium, still happy enjoy driving the VX on track daysFirthy, have you thought about Production BMW or Compact Cup? I wouldn't dismiss MX5s either, the racing is epic.

Committing to all the events is pretty essential too really. Another idea for you Firthy this has been on my to do list for about 3 years and that's to do an arrive and drive. There are a few operators that enter a championship and sell seats in the cars. A weekend racing an elise in something like the 750 MC was about £2000 with Rob Boston racing when I spoke to them about it a couple of years ago. A good way to limit spending and dip your toe into proper racing see if it's for you or not.
Already spoken to Elliot (firthy) about this. I'm doing an arrive and drive this year with Supatune Motorsport. Its a lot less than £2k
