looks like you have some air locked in your CC system.. also, why not remove the headrests? you will save about 2KG of weight :)

So after playing around with rear wing heights I've settled on this.....it looks massively exaggerated in this picture! The wing is 1700mm wide, I've now had some custom one piece mounts made.

I've also never been to happy with how the wing mounts have to come through the body so I've made some templates which my fab shop will make into 1.5mm thick plates to tidy it all up(Yes Joe before you say it i stole this idea from your car  :P ). I'm also going to move the wing mounts forwards by about 25mm so that they are not on the edge of the clam.

Id like to at some point Steve yes, but next year i'm concentrating on the Caterham Racing along with the odd round in the Radical if i can. Whatever/if i ever do any competing in the VX it will only ever be for a giggle.

I enjoy working on the car as much as driving it tbh, It needs a year of development and testing next year i'm sure to get it remotely to where id like it to be.

A very good friend of mine after letting me Race his caterham in Mag7’s with one of my hayabusa engines has kindly brought a second car for me to race next year. I’ve done another engine for it along with a management package upgrade and paddle shift etc. Really looking forward to put it up against the 100k team run caterhams like boss racing and Team Leo’s. .....we’ve beat them once and I intend to do it a few more times 😁.

I’ll check the dates out and see if I can make a round for a ride out in the Vx and to say hello 👍🏼.

So I still don’t have the front end back from the painters but I did get the roll bar. Only a little thing but it’s made a big difference in my eyes and also means no more leaking water inside the car or into the engine bay. I had it modified slightly and then fitted a raise seal to stop water going backwards. It’s all fitted now just need to add the top roof seal....

Few more jobs done today, wing lowered lol....and plates added to where they come through the clam. Hel rear brake lines fitted so I can get the brakes all bled up again tomorrow. Track silencer removes to be ceramic coated and a lambda bung added. Fitted the road pipe for the first time which doesn’t look to bad tbh. I’ll eventually get this ceramic coated as well.

It’s an 86 Frank as I want to keep my revs high on this next build(8k). I may not even use this yet I may do darton sleeves again with 89mm custom pistons the same as my last engine.

I’m concidering also coming away from the harrop and trying a c38-92 Rotrex, I’ve come away from the twin charge idea as I don’t want to ruin being able to use the car in the sense of always chasing development issues. I have set a target of 450whp and I’ll just leave it there then. That should equate to around 530crank bhp I suspect.

I’m going to build the new motor using a new Saab motor so that my engine can either be kept as a spare or sold on to help fund the new one.
