Dad had some mates with quality cars popping round when I was a kid, Sunbeam Tiger, Gordon Keeble to name two oldies and my mums Fulvia zagato. My film car is of course the 365 GTB4 in Gumball, oh and the Cobra of course. Best car film ever imho
And what about American graffiti hot rods ohhhhhh yes

Wonder how many they went through on the Dukes...
a quick google says ...
Somewhere between 256 and 321 "General Lee" cars were created and mostly destroyed during the series. Less than 20 in various states of disrepair still exist. Despite popular belief, there were no 1970 Chargers used in the series according to all the car builders.

The cars I remember being struck by as a child were the Venturi and AM Virage... maybe I was a bit weird.

When I worked for Lynx Engineering I used to do big mileages in Jaguar D Types and XKSS so they come first for me along with the proper lightweight aerodynamic E Type, then GT40, Ferrari Dino, Cobra, AM DB2/4 Mklll and DB4 GT Zagato, Lancia Aurelia B20 GT Zagato and Fulvia 1.6 HF, Alpine A110, Can Am McLaren M6 and M7, Lotus 11 and the original Elite - give me an hour and I'll think of more!!

It has to be Bond's DB5, doesn't it?
The Dino and Aston V8 from The Persuaders.
An 85 V8 Vantage or Jensen Interceptor would probably be my ultimate cars.

Excellent. Cars are made to be driven, I hate current "collector clinch", buying all the expensive cars to store the value and speculate.
(it's even more ridiculous when you check classic ccar prices from barely 5 years ago, compared to today.)
To answer OP; Lambo Countach, Ferraris F40 and its rival Porsche 959... Ferari from Magnum (308 or 328), of course Kitt from Knight Rider this one had some nice features.

Forgotten how good that opening sequence is. The music, the locale, the car all perfect.

I always play Matt Monro on days like these when driving through the alps.

Some of the older guys I work with did the job and famously came back with envelopes of cash...so much so that they bought houses with the cash !!!!!

Ideally yes, but more normally with a VX soundtrack, or even a diesel land rover soundtrack.
