With everything stripped down, I'm wondering what colour to go for. Brake calipers have had a yellow coat so I'm thinking of going down the same route or the wishbones and hubs.

Hoping to have the sub frame off this evening so was just reading through the TIS. https://www.speedste...all (Z22SE).pdf On page 17: Left engine damping block (2), 1 nut 45 Nm.

Left bracket (3) –3 screws45 Nm, 1 nut.

Right engine damping block (5), –1 nut 45 Nm.

Right bracket (4) –3 screws85 Nm, 1 nut.

Air filter bracket (1) – 2 screws, 1 nut.

Is the 85 Nm correct? Seems a bit of a jump from the other side.

I believe it is referring to the three M8 bolts holding the gearbox bracket to the top of the gearbox (LEFT) and the three M12 bolts holding the engine bracket to the engine (RIGHT), so yes thats correct.

Wishbones powder coated yellow with hubs and steering arms black. Should have them back tomorrow.

Cheers Vocky, found a thread where someone left the side mount brackets on and lifted the engine one side at a time to free the mounts. so went with that.

Sub frame removed and it uncovered what could be the worst corrosion yet...

Question for anyone in the know on exhausts. The U bend on my Milltek is pretty knackered, are these common across smaller systems? So will number 2 fit to a milltek box? https://www.deroure....&SMO=0&ST=&SC=0

the NA Milltek U bend is basically identical to the standard U bend :ninja:

However the Europa version is the larger Turbo version

I discover your thread on z22se about the Miltek U bend looking very small in diameter actually. Is 2.5" standard then or is the Tullet downpipe I've got going to be a bit big for the Miltek back box?

standard and milltek are sub 2"

The connecting flanges are the same, so the Tullet will mate up to the standard U bend

The Tullett ubend is a few degrees off compare to oem, complicating the mate up.

Left Tullett, right oem.

I had a look at the NA, turbo, miltek and janspeed ubend. They are all like the right one. Just the tullett is a bit off.

Damn, that's quite a drop in diameter, at least I haven't got much power to lose. So what's the best way to source a replacement? I guess just a wanted thread but can't see anyone willing to sell one without the backbox.

Could be cheers, but I guess that's too big to clamp to an N/A Miltek back box?

I got a u bend made up from 2 x 90 degree 2.5 bends and the flanges are available but may need to elongate the holes to match. Then got a local fabrication co to weld up for a tenner

I guess the opposite to what I said is that I don't have much power to begin with, can't afford to strangle it more. Getting closer to reassembly now so want to be in a position to go ahead, where should I be putting thread lock?

Bearing bolts? Hub Carrier bolts? Sub Frame bolts?

And grease, everywhere except on threads? Duralac, the new sub frame shims, front suspension mounts and the undertray fixings.... anywhere else that is ally to steel?

Because everyone loves pictures, even ones off of my truly awful phone. But it gives you an idea of the wishbone colour. Unfortunately, very different to the yellow the brakes came out.

Sub frame and roll bar supports back on.

Spitfire sub frame shims caked in duralac.
Rattling passenger driveshaft replaced.
Engine mounts done.
