Ive absolutely no doubt that Nevs car would be quicker than my 400... on the road. I dont race on the road. Too much at risk, including innocent others. Just not worth it. Sure I speed, Im not saying Im holier than thou, but road racing? fcuk that.

I'm not sure why you think I am some sort of road racer, really. I make a point of going out on my own when there is minimal traffic and also avoid car meets where that sort of thing sometimes happens.

Looking forward to seeing the owners face of the first own one I meet when I scoot past him. :ninja:

Because, in answer to above, with a comment like yours above Nev, youre implying he would be trying

Squirting past a car on an open road is hardly racing, I bet everyone does it. If thats what you mean by "racing" then yes, I do overtake a few cars and boot it for a few seconds, though to be honest there really are very few when I go out for a drive.

Even if the Evora owner was "trying" it would be over in 5 seconds.

Evora is quicker if Nev is sneaking another engine rebuild in that nobody knows about ;)

No engine rebuilds planned, but it's a ticking time bomb...

As for Evoras, I'd rather go out in an Exige v6, they seem more my sort of thing, other than Mark Beszant popping round in one I've never really had the opportunity.

I am surprised, going off topic, that youve not done an engine transplant Nev. Youve documented and tried everything else, so if anyone can handle a transplant its you. Genuine question, not a p*ss take btw.

Hmmm, if my current engine does expire I'd consider a B204 swap, mainly as it would be cheap. Now that I have a welder and can vaguely use it, it wouldn't be so hard really.

There are a few with my spec that rev to 8500 or even 9000, but I've set my red line to 8000 and rarely go that high as things get frantic. Hopefully this will promote longevity, but who knows...

I barely ever see any of these on the roads, I think the owners must be polishing them too much and not driving them. Looking forward to seeing the owners face of the first own one I meet when I scoot past him. :ninja:

Did 10000 miles in mine last year. Im sure youll fly past on the straight...

Ive absolutely no doubt that Nevs car would be quicker than my 400... on the road.

Really? On track, in the right conditions, big power / weight advantage.. On the road, other than the straights, it would be very close. The Evora 400 is a very competent / fast road car with excellent traction and stability systems plus a more approachable chassis, so you'd probably need suitably sized nuts + skillz to keep up with one in any VX..

Quote the rest... I would'nt be racing ;) So Yes, any car could be quicker than my 400 ;)

Coco is subtley insinuating that Nev drives like a cunt on the road, and that he wouldnt try to keep up.

No I get that, just generalising on the fact that big power doesn't equal the fastest road car.

Or maybe I'm just trying to trigger Nev.. #triggered

I would really consider a 2+2 at the right price (i.e. when they get to around 15K... if they do) regardless of miles, as long as it had it's services kept up.

I absolutely love my vx, but I do miss the opportunity to take the wife and kids out and these seem like a good middle ground. Can't imagine it's much fun using the isofix in the 2+2 though...

£15k

Seriously, they've only just reached £22k and that was a Cat D 90k mile car.

Was the cat d one for 18k still damaged or had been repaired?

i was offered a salvage evora, lower clam, head light, air bag. 15500, i thought id leave it as evora's at the time with high miles were going for 25k non cat.

The one for 18k was repaired, no idea of the quality of the repair. On reflection i should have gone to see it.

The two i added seem HPI free, but high miles 89k & 118k one of them have now sold

Seems these cars are now aging, people are putting miles on the clock, i think the rough ones with miles on the clock will start to drop. Im also waiting for the 15-18k mark and i will get one, willing to wait. Hopfully not too long.
