Good afternoon all,

 

I hope I've posted this topic in the correct area, I'm new to the forum. 

 

My brother and I extremely excited to be looking at buying a VX220 and one has caught our eye.

However in the side-on photos the rear of the car looks very low, especially in comparison to the front of the car. Is this a point of concern?  I read in a previous selling advertisement (the car was last sold in April 2017) for the car that it had it's front and rear suspension replaced.

 

Also, just per chance, does anyone happen to know anything more about this car? I wonder whether it's been on the forum before.

You are right, that is incredibly low at the rear, would feel very odd when the back bounced (if it isn't already running on it's bump stops). It's a problem that is likely easily remedied though.

 

A lot of people mod the suspension ride height without the slightest thought to the handling, so no surprise to many of us here I am sure.

Dont know the car but could just be as simple as coilovers wound down at the back (too much) and not at the front. Certainly not ideal but worth a look anyway, but I will say this isnt the way the car should be set up so would need to be tweaked back

Could be ride height but that's not normally a DIY adjustment. It could also be set over stiff if the last owner has set it rock hard the springs can't return the car to settle and it'll look slammed. Either way not an issue

Probably got Gaz Gold the rears are a bit short.
