they don't test the egr valve actually works, so bolt one on and add a small section of wiring loom. Just don't bother wiring it to anything

The easiest way is install a blanking plate, then fit the egr valve ontop allowing you to keep it plugged in (so no cheater needed and no EML).
Then it gives the appearance of having a fully fitted and functional EGR, even though in reality its doing nothing

No vx220 SC has a working egr valve, the sc inlet has no connection
If you have a Saab B207 cylinder head or a late z22se cylinder head they don't have the egr mounting, so technically the egr valve is not missing

Most of them will do things like putting the emissions tester in the back of someone else's car when your VX won't pass
obviously they know the cars they should be keeping on the road
