Quick question when I bought my VX as an NA it had an EGR cheater on it. Its now supercharged and has the same cheater (and a blanking plate over the EGR). - are most people running with a cheater when NA? - are all SC running with no EGR? - as SC with no EGR will this be an MOT fail under the new regs (removal of EGR) - will mapping be affected if I have to retrospectively fit an EGR? (Running CS map not Dutch) Thanks for any input...not looking forward to new MOT regs....

they don't test the egr valve actually works, so bolt one on and add a small section of wiring loom. Just don't bother wiring it to anything :P

The easiest way is install a blanking plate, then fit the egr valve ontop allowing you to keep it plugged in (so no cheater needed and no EML).

Then it gives the appearance of having a fully fitted and functional EGR, even though in reality its doing nothing  B)

No vx220 SC has a working egr valve, the sc inlet has no connection

If you have a Saab B207 cylinder head or a late z22se cylinder head they don't have the egr mounting, so technically the egr valve is not missing

Both, thanks for your input. So the reality is a SC VX cannot have an EGR as there is no connection on the inlet manifold. Presumably job done then....and they cant fail it...

Don't know what software you use but on obd tuner you need just to klik egr off and it's oké to remove it. Save weight Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONEPLUS A3003 met Tapatalk

No I can't see it being workable. Imagine you have a boxster or an Audi A2 - you can't even see the engine!

Most of them will do things like putting the emissions tester in the back of someone else's car when your VX won't pass :ninja:

obviously they know the cars they should be keeping on the road :D
