After seeing some horrors on Facebook I'm tempted to get some cctv about the place. Ideally I'd like a mains powered one so I don't have to mess with batteries or charging and I want one that loop records ie minimal input unless I need to look. Anyone got any recommendations or know of any to steer clear of?

I've had a Swann system for a few years and has been reliable. It lets you log on through mobile/internet app when you're away.

We install IP CCTV and another good one is Dahua, they actually manufacture a lot of other suppliers cameras which are then rebadged anyway. If you get an NVR with built in POE ports and run network cables to it from the camera positions this will power the cameras without having to install power at each location which makes things a lot simpler. All viewable via an app on mobile when you’re at home or remote, or using a monitor attached to the NVR. It’s what I use at my house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fitted this one a few weeks ago. Very impressed with what it does, has a 3 year warranty and a very helpful help desk for any problems setting up etc. They have 15% off offers every so often https://www.spycamer...ss-portable-lcd
