So i took the VX to a local car meet thursday evening. The meet is a grown up and pleasant affair attended by all ages, Predominately made up of American classics/hotrods and old british classics, along with a few modern sports cars/hot hatches that are normally directed to the overflow car park. Having missed (ignored) these directions my mate (Focus RS) and I parked in front of a nice E-type. We half-convinced the steward one was a modern classic and the other a future modern classic (well maybe in 20 years) and quickly scurried off for a shandy.
I was amazed at how much attention the VX got, from all ages, even more so at how many people kept asking, "What is It?" I know these cars are becoming increasingly rare but i didnt appreciate untill now, how many people had never seen one or, didnt realise they even existed. Kind of makes ownership even more special.
And yes, I did point out to the organiser where the interest seemed to be.
