Must be a fair bit lighter without the glass and door mechs.

If you had a cat car then it's probably easier to get the clams lol.

I like it a lot!

I had a 2-11, but I didn't love it because it was too clinical & sanitised for my taste. However, with no glass windscreen, roof, roll bar cover, stupidly heavy rear clam etc, It would be much lighter. So, perhaps the answer is a 2-11 body on my car? Also, my bodywork is shot & I was about to get a full re-spray anyway. I will find out if they can re-body my car & costs & post up what they say...

Halesowen = UK Lotus Centre = write offs = poorly repaired = toe links bent straight(ish) = possibility of premature death

I wouldnt buy those cars but I like the idea. Full face helmet and ear defenders in and you could drive it anywhere.

Plus (long standing debate) it'll have the best engine in a VX SC compared to the original 2ZZ.

I'd be interested in knowing what it weighs. 2-11 brochure weight was 670.

Apparently, they created four 2-11's in total. Two lotus Elise based & two VX based. Front wishbones have been replaced with lotus ones, due to wheel base differences. They have sold one & are keeping the Honda Elise conversion. All bodywork is apparently original 2-11 panels. VX cars are both standard. He says they are 95% original lotus parts apart from dash, inner sills etc.

They have one complete spare set of unused 2-11 body panels with covered headlights & front splitter, but no rear wing, diffuser or interior. He is sending me photos tomorrow. From memory, the body panels are reasonably light. However, he's asking very strong money for them.

I wouldn't be interested in one of his VX/ 2-11 cars, but would consider dressing my car in a new outfit. I'm not sure how the suspension wishbone changes will affect the car's handling though? ...I remember the lotus Exige motorsport clad VX220 issues that Plans undertook.

My old 2-11 launch edition weighed 705Kgs. It was weighed before I fitted a tubular exhaust.

Did Junks look at reproducing the 211 bodywork panels? If so might be a cheaper alternative

I seem to remember that the Honda one was white and had the plate R10CKY on it or similar.
