Possibly making a small run of titanium abs shim bracket that sits on hub
Section on wheels that holds lead from hub and lead to abs unit.

Anyone doing a suspension refresh will take these rusty brackets
Off and give a clean and put back on but always look like a rusting bucket

So if enough interest I will make a set of four abs brackets
Made in titanium so no more rusting will be a fit and forget.
Price for original brackets from lotus are £4.35 plus vat and postage
Price for titanium would be £45 plus postage

If interested then please put name on post and see if get enough interest.

Great idea but sure does feel a tad steep over new ones from lotus

True but when you work out lotus cost is say £25 for metal that rust
Virtually straight away or a water cut titanium version
That won’t rust at all then it’s not so bad.
Like everything if I was doing 20-30 sets then no doubt I could get price
down quite a bit but only a very small run (10 sets) so unfortunately price to cut isnt cheap.

If I say had 20 people interested then I could definitely get a better price
I’m only offering this as is one part of suspension refresh that has bugged
me that is rusty and don’t fancy wasting money on another poor quality lotus
part that will rust again.

What about in stainless steel? Would definitely be cheaper to produce.

It doesn't have any load on it does it?

Carbon pre preg would be easy to make because of the shape, you could lay it on the part direct and cut the holes out after.

No carbon I wouldn’t think be ok as is under load on hub bolting through
It.
Stainless could be done but not what I wanted.

What about galvanic corrosion on the hub carrier ??

the abs plug+wire and loom is not stuctural so an alternative method of fixing might work, where is Gbob and his box of tie-wraps?
