So....
We have an LG TV with 3 hdmi inputs plus an optical out. LG soundbar with wireless subwoofer.
How best to connect the Humax + Bluray to the TV then get best sound of of the soundbar.
Must admit, confused about HDMI ARC....

I use HDMI ARC to connect my TV to my sound bar.
One of the HMDI ports on your tv will be marked ARC - if it has it. This is an audio return channel (an audio output). Connect this to your sound bar. The audio you are effectively watching on your TV will go out to your sound bar and you can control your sound bar volume level via the TV volume control.
Connect your other devices to your other (non-ARC) HDMI ports on your TV.

Or if your soundbar has multiple inputs, connect devices to sound bar and then only the one cable to the tv.
