Once I find the right rear or front? I can then adjust the VX rear wings to best suit the new bumper.

Steve, I'm not convinced on the Skoda Kodiaq lights, although I do like them. I also have Skoda Karoq lights, which look nicer. But, I'm happy to keep looking for a better option. The front of my VX, I think looks really nice now.
The rear has to be more functional as heat dissipation and air vents are a must.

I like the front and rear lights on the new Lexus RC

Chris, yep, they're very nice and would also work well. The front on my VX isn't going to change now, so I'm purely interested in the arse end.
People need to realise that if time and money was not an issue, then I would have chosen a much different front and rear. But, I'm a novice and have never done this before. It may all go wrong and also, I can't justify fitting a front and rear that in parts will cost as much as my car is worth. There are also several people who want to change their cars and keeping costs down and using readily available parts is in everyone's interest.

The later ds3 lights are quite cool with their 3d effect
As a replacement for the existing VX rear lights, these could fit and will look like a factory upgraded light. However, they don't do it for me as I'm not sure they would now work with my car's changes.

By track car, I assume you mean it will never go on the road?
If so, do you actually need rear lights? You could have mesh/cage in the shape (so it lines up with wings / rear claim etc), couple of rain lights in either side to make it look smart and symmetrical. Could even have fans behind the rain lights to exhaust heat from the engine bay.
It might look slightly heath robinson but in my mind, it could look ok depending on the layout/style of the rain lights.
Perhaps even P1 style, led brake/rain light strip around the 'orifice' - mesh/fan/venting inside.

I’ve had no lights only meshed rear lights or blank cover panels for years. I’d like a more ‘regular’ looking car as it’s being painted and now having a few mods. I guess it comes down to vanity and just wanting a nicer looking car rather than my usual battered and gaffa taped VX.
The truth is, I never intended to go to the extent I have. It was meant to be just a few minor tweaks before a re-paint. But, with each Dremel cut, my brain just kept going into overdrive and the multicoloured Frankenstein beastie developed to what it is now.

I'm not sold on the rear lights. The lines don't really match up to any of the bodywork contours. Have you thought about flipping the lights upside down?
