Oi Fahy-Brooks, you can change that back

That Joe has way too much POWER.... He should be struck off being a Mod! He's also changed my strap Line, but luckily what he's written is so ludicrous that no one will possibly believe it!

Is Snet your lucky track Dave?

THAT place is the 10th circle of hell where hope goes to die, no good ever comes from going to beelzebub’s own circuit. It should be wiped out of existence rant

We shouldn’t be surprised, they say POWER corrupts and as we all know Joe embraces any chance of corruption

Some say, his bottom was first corrupted when he was 16. But I don't believe it! Although he does tend to walk with a bit of a swagger???

Max I think once the a larger set of wheels are fitted this will look great.....if also consider a 1700mm wide rear wing

Yeah, my current wing does look too small, but it did prove adequate on my previous setup. My big concern is how the bigger, wider wheels and tyres will effect the handling. I need to talk to Nev!

I was thinking 18/265 on the rears and 17/235's on the fronts. Has anyone got any experience of this setup?

...Joe, don't bother replying. I'm not likely to use turf tyres like your mower!

I've had 245 and 235 and 225 and 205 on the front over the years, and my honest opinion is that 225 on the front is best (with 45% profile). 245 and 235 make the camber twitchiness really nasty on bumpy surfaces.

Best to ring me Max, too much to type.

Nev, I'm at home tomorrow, so I will call you, finally!

Rear wheel arch trim Update:

I really have not done much more as I am waiting for the Audi TT rear lights to arrive before I can progress any further on the rear end. But, I had a little play with the back of the rear arch this evening.

The Toyota C-HR bumper fitted surprisingly well after I cut and widened the old rear wings by 45mm either side. However, as was pointed out, the lower areas behind the wheels didn't look right, they hung down too low and were too pointed, like Spock's ears. So, I re-fitted my old VX wheel spats and cut down the lower portion of the black C-HR lower bumper trims by 75mm and trimmed them to match in with the VX spats. I think it now looks much better? It may be easier to combine the two parts and make a mould of them, with the final part being made out of carbon fibre as I have so much of the stuff.

...I was behind a Range Rover Velar today. Bugger, I really liked the rear lights with the tailgate light bar!!! I was also parked next to a Peugeot 3008 this morning...also Loved their lights too! I need to stop looking!!! Both would look great on the VX.

I'm still minded to do a road car conversion. probably with the same revised front & side intakes, but the rear will definitely not have a coupe back, the Toyota C-HR bumper or even the same rear lights as this car. That car will also be so much easier to convert once I have the moulds made.

Audi TT rear light initial mockup:

I literally spent 20 mins cutting off the bottom of the bumper and gaffa taping it in place. The entire Audi bumper and lights need to move forward by 40mm. I only intend to use the top portion of the bumper and retain the Toyota C-HR lower part. I would graft the two into one bumper. The top rear face may have to be an Audi TT boot edge.

But, before doing any more, I was wondering if you think I should spend a couple of hours trying a better mockup or just go back to the Skoda lights?

The lights will fit with tweaking of the existing VX wings and will blend in ok. It will make the rear end much more rounded though. but, I don't think it would look awkward.

The audi lights suit and complement the sharp vx lines.

I've no intention of not using the lower bumper/diffuser. The Audi bumper is just for the surfaces surrounding the lights.
