I thought it may be interesting to share details of a few online services or shops that I recommend, and for others to do the same... would be sensible to keep it to businesses that have a national reach. (I know there is another thread in the members section but it's a bit tired now 
)

Precision screws, nuts and other hardware. They aren't cheap but have a very extensive range and have been very consistant in terms of quality of product and service.

Electronic components. Recently wanted to replace my secret button as it was broken, and decided to replace the connector as well. I stumbled upon them, and was staggered by the sheer volume of parts from automotive to home automation... it is impressive.

Lots of fastenings, switches, gauges, edge trim, adhesives... you name it. Used them for a number of years and always consistant.
