Has anyone had our seats apart and gained an understanding of what’s in there?

My drivers seat seat belt fixing (down at the base by my right hip) has a thread in it that moves around so I’m unable to tighten the bolt into it that holds the belt in place. It’ll take some threads but once it’s a little way in it refuses to bite any more threads leaving it flopping around in the seat. It doesn’t come out by pulling straight so some threads are definitely catching ok, but it won’t screw in any further. It will unscrew and come out though.

I’ve had a quick look in the seat and it seems the thread is part of a plate fixed on the inside face of the seat, and this plate is able to rotate around 20 degrees or so. I’m assuming it’s come unfixed somehow.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem please?

Thanks in advance. Ian
