Ok, it's been established that my ECU is broken. Apparently there is a separate earth within the ECU which has been damaged presumably due to the pinched O2 sensor wire. The car is perfectly drivable with the eml on but obviously this could cover up more important faults that could arise. I have the old CMS ECU which I could refit. The car is as it was with the CMS map except that I have uprated the injectors. Would it be ok to swop the ECU for the old CMS one?

Could try giving Jon a call & get his views. I guess it depends on how uprated the injectors are & how much they may affect the fuelling.

Couldn’t BoT give you an idea?

BoT have suggested leaving the current ECU and just monitoring the fault codes using Torque. Thing is I'm off to Spa on Sunday and I would prefer the car to be tip top. I'll give Jon a call and get his thoughts. Thx Paul.

personally i would rather go on the current ecu than blast round on a track with unknown fuelling.

Peter does not live that far off spa. (150km)

Maybe ask him to reflash your map over your cms ecu on Saturday/Sunday?

Ok an update. The fault may have been located. After checking out all the wiring, sending the ECU back to Holland for checking, it seems it was the sensor.

BoT put 3 brand new sensors on over the
3 months that it has taken to track the fault. All 3 sensors were purchased from Eurocar parts and branded Bosch. As a last ditched attempt a vauxhall sensor was tried and hey presto no eml. Now it's early days and I'm half expecting the light to come on soon, but so far so good.

I’m having similar p0141 issues with mine. I’ve had an entirely new exhaust (manifold as well) and the car is still throwing an EML light once per journey. I’ve tried 3 different lambdas now and it’s still happening, it’s driving me mad!

Tempted to suck up the cost of a new genuine sensor and see what happens.

Car was fine when I first got it but it had a decatted VSE on it that was too noisy so I started to fiddle.

i sell the NGK sensors pre = £75 and post = £95, they are the only ones i truly trust 100% to just work.

do you have a CAT? if not then you are going to get an eml.

It’s got a tullet 200 cell cat on it where as it had a decat before (but the precat was in place on the standard manifold)

I’m wondering if the sports cat is right in the limit triggering the post cat error, but I even put the 2nd lambda in fresh air and it still came on.

I can confirm the NGK sensors look identical the the genuine GM.
