On March 20, 2017 I payed TeamVXRacing £500 for the following:

- All custom maps now and for future
- Cable
- Editor
- Email support
- Visit by Steve (siztenboots) who would custom tune my car

From the list above I have so far only received a few generic maps that I have uploaded to the car myself. Neither cable nor editor have been delivered but most importantly Steve has not yet payed me a visit to custom tune my car as promised despite regular reminders from my part. He has asked a couple of times where I live, if I prefer weekdays or weekends and so on, but has not yet proposed a date to actually come and tune my car.

Last email sent to him regarding this subject was on July 5th but I still haven't heard a word from him so I guess it won't happen this summer either.

Three summers have soon passed and in retrospective it would have been better to spend the money on a local tuner.

thumbsdown

Cheers

That’s not good, I’m sure sizetenboots will be along to solve it soon.

Jeeze, sounds terrible on the face of it, I wonder what his side of the story/explanation is.

Sizeten is on holiday at the moment.

He's back at the end of next week.

I'm sure this can then be taken offline and this thread removed.

Why should the thread be removed? Is only positive feedback allowed?

I also have a mapping from Steve he made for me in Holland. Wanted to do some changes at the beginning of this year and he told me he stopped doing this business.

Which leaves with this mapping and no change to do upgrades without going to a tuner somewhere in the neighborhood.

Steve is a great guy and helped me a lot. I hope he will start up this business again..

No reason for the thread to be removed at all.

Also no reason to pre judge. It is a matter between 2 people.

I am sure Steve will respond to the OP accordingly once back from vacation. Until them maybe the thread should be closed to more comments.

Anyone know if Steve is back from vacation yet? I still haven't heard from him.

Also, could someone please give advice on whom to contact in the UK in order to get money back from a company that hasn't delivered the service as described? Some kind of "consumers rights" organisation or similar.

Cheers,
Per

He has been posting on the forum by the looks of it so appears to be logging in - what contact details do you have for him? Maybe someone on here can pass on a mobile number so you can call him directly?

In terms of going a legal route, it isnt easy and it is time consuming. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is the UKs legislation in terms of what is expected of trading in the UK. I presume you have a written contract with Steves company regarding the services you paid for which he hasn't fulfilled - and evidence of such? If you lived in the UK and he has not fulfilled that contract then you have the right to take him to court to recover costs via the small claims courts. You would usually be expected to appear in person etc. and there is a financial cost to raising the complaint (which you can recover if you win). I am not sure how this impacts you as a non-UK resident, or whether there are specific laws that you have to abide by in Sweden you would need to seek advice from your citizens advice service - I would though if you are going to go this route do it before end of October as you never know what will happen after that here! But this is a last resort, the courts would prefer to see that contracts are honoured and best efforts made to make it work.

I have been directed to this post from facebook , I don't spend all my time on here anymore

Sorry I have been ill long term and decided to close the business as it was not possible to continue

Last email I saw was April , and I replied and explained the new turbo you had purchased from Courtenay should be set for 0.9bar

Yes, you answered the turbo question but you forgot to answer the question about finally coming and tune my car, see attached file.

And that was not the last email you've received from me, it was on July 5th as I wrote above, see attached file.

And you know that I have asked you about it multiple times in 2017 and 2018.

But I guess it's not so much fun to actually perform the job that I've paid for once the money landed in your account, which I regretfully paid in advance. Unfortunately I trusted you.

I remember you cried out loud when you didn't get paid £500 from a customer whose car you tuned, but when it's the other way around you don't give a sh*t. Hypocrite.

So Steve, unless you have no shame, give me my money back and I will spend it on a local tuner. You know that you haven't delivered what I paid for and you have had 2.5 years to do it.

I also attach a screenshot describing what I paid for so nobody thinks I'm lying. And I can of course prove everything such as our written conversations and my money transfer.

Cheers,
Per

PS someone please forward this to Steve on FB
