Cheers guys, I do enjoy tinkering I am sure there are little bits and bobs I have missed. I actually sat down and made a website last night with it all on. Always handy to have a record and pics of stuff I have done https://vx220.mystrikingly.com/

I *think* I am finished with the interior. When I got the car 2 years ago I had a vision in my head of what it would be like inside. Im not a track day guy by any stretch so making it a nice place to be was up my list of wants, so focused on comfort over speed! It took longer than I thought it would but I think in terms of the interior, I am there, where I want it to be, before and after:

Cheers, I took it for a spin yesterday in the sunshine, roof off, music on, booting it down the road. Sensational, a lovely place to be and it helps deaden the sound and rattles.

Big detail day! Over two days actually...
Auto Finesse Avalanche Snow Foam, I have a cordless Worx Hydroshot as car is parked outside, so its not great but does a bit of a job
Rinsed it off and then moved onto my favourite shampoo Gyeon Bathe+
A further rinse and wipe down with a large microfibre, not too bothered about getting all the water off here as I will be claying next which needs lubricant
Using Sonax BSD and a Sonax clay pad I set to work on removing surface contaminants. I use a yellow microfibre for this job, if there is dirt coming off after claying and wiping then the car is still too dirty to clay
After claying its worth running your finger nails across the surfaces to check for effectiveness, turn hand over and lightly drag, it should feel like velvet. With contaminants gone you can safely machine polish without contaminants being dragged about on the surface under the polishing pad
Polish time! I have a dual action DAS-6 polisher, used a medium lake valley pad with Scholl Concepts S20 Black polish. Always break the pad on the window with some polish before doing it on the paintwork, if you dont have a pad activator. Working a panel at a time working around the car
The main aim was to generate shine (its the polish that creates the shine not the wax) but also to remove swirls. Hand polishing gives you a bit of shine and some photos can make it look good, but its never going to be anywhere near as good a finish as a machine polish. Before and after pics of the panel
Waxing to come...

So the wheels and roof were already done, Gyeon Q2 Rim on the wheels (brilliant stuff highly recommended) and A303 on the roof.
Also worked through all the nooks and crannies as well as cleaning up the windows before sealing the windows with GTechniq G5
Ive tried a lot of waxes, ideally I would be going for a ceramic coating at some point, but its hard to do that at home outdoors so hard pastes it is. I have used Victoria Concours, Soft99 and now onto Bilt Hamber Double Speed which has had good reviews.
Some coating for the headlights too
Nice finish
Some APC and ACF-50 for the engine bay
A little WD40 wiped on to the windscreen wiper to get rid of the smear and noise for a while
And I think I am done...
