Absolutely gutted to be selling, for the reason being i’ve found out my other half is pregnant. Priorities have changed. I have owned since September (purchased from Vocky) and only done approx 180 miles in the car, it’s spent the rest of the time since in the garage.
For sale is is a very unique VX220 which is well known on the forum and built from the ground up by an experienced VX Guru - VOCKY who owned the car for over 12 years with the very best quality components.
The car has only 2 previous owners and is HPI clear.
The car has done 40k miles (shell) and the engine has done only 3000 miles since being built.
Engine: Uses all GM parts so all very easy to get hold of if needed.
The engine is a “one off†2.5 litre converted from a Saab B207 engine running Webcon Throttle Bodies and is couple to a close ration 6 speed LSD equipped M32 gear box.
The engine is 270 BHP + 213 ft lb.
OEM timing chain fitted roughly 500 miles ago.
CatCams 287 degree camshafts with superrich dual valve spring kit.
Ported and polished cylinder head with GM racing +0.5mm valves and 3 angle valve seats.
Forged 90mm pistons with Darton cylinder sleeve sand cometic head gasket with ARP head stud kit, the list goes on!
It has bespoke 4-2-1 looped exhaust system. The car’s performance is unreal, it will accelerate from standing into 3 figures as quick as a 300bhp SC, the pure sound of the throttle bodies is immense and addictive.
Interior:
The interior has Lotus Motorsport seats, Dave the trimmer has done all of the re-trimming work. The quality of the work is un-rivalled and this is how Vauxhall should have done the interior and trim.
Dash, binacle, centre console, door panels and head restraints re-trimmed in Alcantra by Dave the Trimmer.
VXT leather door inserts, the interior was a very expensive job but well worth doing.
New OEM steering wheel with original airbag, new OEM steering column shroud and new OEM stalks.
Upgraded heater system, upgraded alarm.
NO RADIO - Throttle bodies sound better!
Suspension + wheels:
full suspension refresh with OEM wishbones, track rod ends, bolts and OEM hubs.
Quantum one way adjustable shocks with 550 +425 springs.
New Ap 4pot front brake calipers + OEM 308 mm discs.
New OEM rear brake callipers + OEM 288mm discs.
Minted M1144 brake pads = braided hoses.
NEW ATS DTC alloy wheels with as new Yokohama AD08R 205/45/17 front and 235/40/17 rear tyres.
New wheels arch liners.
Body:
All body panels have been resprayed separately during Vocky’s ownership, no over-spray due to the panels all being taken off to do this, again not a cheap job to say the least.
OEM hard top + soft top, mint condition.
New OEM VXT rear spoiler.
New VXT front splitters.
New OEM VXT side air ducts.
New VXT engine cover and grills.
New front bonnet grills.
New bonnet and roof seals (Lotus).
Have missed a few things but have all receipts etc totalling over £45K (service history and parts) and thousands of hours of labour by Vocky. Credit to him the car is awesome, looks and feels new and is completely one off.
I would rather the car went to someone on the vx220 forum or an enthusiast. I’m more than willing to put the kettle on and go through the USB full of detailed build pics of Exhaust, manifold, suspension, interior, engine, loom, brakes, throttle bodies and the list goes on.
The car is currently sitting on a Trickle charger in the garage which will also come with the car.
£18k or a very near offer will secure one of the best if not the best VX220’s available. All this car needs is someone to drive it. This is how Vauxhall should have brought the VX220 NA onto the market. Summer is coming and this car is built for the summer with the roof on or off!
Viewing highly recommended, you will not be disappointed. The car is a close to being new without being new, if that makes sense.
The underneath is as clean as the top side, i can take any extra pictures upon request and send them through WhatsApp.
Could potentially PX cash either way for something that is fun with 4 seats and slightly more child friendly, try me but please no rubbish.
I'm unsure how to put pics on here, so heres the Ebay advert with pictures - https://www.ebay.co....tm/293520207157

Thanks for looking,

P.S. if the weather stays nice I might have to get it out the garage.
