Hi everyone, I'm going to do a 2.5 stage on my turbo vx220.

Upgrades done / to do:
- Bigger intercooler
- Direct intake
- Remove balancer shaft
- Spark plugs NGK a cooler grade
- Oil cooler

Now I would like to put a 3" decat direct exhaust and totally straight like the one in the picture.

What do you think?
Will it make so much noise?
Anyone have any videos?

Sorry for my english, i am helping with google translate

For what it's worth, I think it's a bad idea and will sound horrendous.

Whether there's any technical reason around back pressure not to, I've no idea on a turbo car. It certainly wouldn't pass any track noise limits in the UK and would fail an MOT so would mean the car wasn't street legal either but not sure whether either of those are an issue for you in Italy.

i installed one on a customers car a couple years ago, didn't sound too bad actually.

if your looking for a tullett system let me know, i can also get you a balance delete kit if you haven't already got on.

iniettori vxr, con ecu regolata sulla nuova mappa degli iniettori

I will have to do a good mapping, but are the injectors essential? how many hp do you think I could get?

I would opt for the straight tube because it is certainly lighter and also less expensive, as regards the MOT in Italy it is not a real problem

ne ho installato uno su un'auto dei clienti un paio di anni fa, in realtà non suonava male.

se stai cercando un sistema Tullett fammelo sapere, posso anche procurarti un kit per l'eliminazione del saldo se non sei già salito.

Thank you but I have already taken the removal kit

Don't you have an emissions test there?

Bigger injectors will help you going forward but are not essential at stage 2.

most people who fit a 3" exhaust use a Tullet. These are not loud and do allow track use.

Your biggest issue going past stage 2 is heat and a bigger intercooler wont help due to the location.

You have 2 options if you want more that stage 2, Meth or water injection. This will lower Inlet temps or you need a charge cooler.

80mm MAF is required if you go stage 4 but you will need a clutch, VXR turbo and injectors at this point, plus water injector or charger cooler.

Air filters dont really make more power. Max power on standard injectors is around 250bhp give or take.

Max power on a 2.5" exhaust is around 300bhp. The 3" version will allow a lot more.

Thanks for the answer, for now I just need a stage 2 I would like the car to be reliable and I can't spend a lot, also because I have to take a nice set-up and I would like to put it a bit in place externally.
Anyway I bought the injectors, they arrived today   :D

P.S. I know almost nothing about meth and water injection, I will inquire. If you have any threads to recommend, I would be grateful.

Sorry again for my English, I hope you understand.

I couldn’t tell you how to install meth or water injection but it has great results.
It halved my inlet temperatures and allowed more timing in the map to create more power.
