Hi folks, I'm planning my first track day for this weekend and one thing that didn't cross my mind is a towing eye. I will need to have one in place but I don't have one in my car. Are there any other manufacturers that will suit? are they all the same? In a bit of a panic!

If you don't have the V grille you can use one of them common straps and m8x1.25 bolt.

If towing eye hasn't been used in a while you might want to run a thread tap through to clean up the threads.

If it's an original post id avoid having to use it because it will probably crumble into dust pulling out of gravel 😂

Thanks Tony, that's great. I don't have a V.. Opel Speedster and a debadged grille. D you have any idea if a motor factors would stock those straps? Would any other car's towing eye suit? Too late for ebay etc.

 

Hopefully this is all precautionary anyway and I won't end up in the gravel!
