I'm in the process of building a new engine and as I could not find a good set of figures for the balancer shafts pre and post chop I took come photos.
Shaft assembly (minus block bearing, which seems well documented as being pushed in to stem oil flow post-removal)
Keeping parts post-shaft chop:
Assembly with remaining shaft stub trimmed some more and centre drilled to loose more mass:
Assembly with a few shaves here and there. Theres another few grams to be had, but i'm experimenting with the short chain water pump solution, so i'm not chasing for now.
