Another passing of the old guard, not since the loss of lord Mountbatten do i remember such a feeling from myself. Human faults and non pc alike only added a stability to the ramparts of his lack of superiority. Not ever exactly the guy next door but anyways certainly his slightly eccentric uncle.

Present day history will not ever have the foundational cement laid that these old guard laboured to lay and our futures, whether we know it or not, stand more stable for them all.

Bless him.

Lol...indeed. That is what i mean about his human side, any other royal would 'stone face' it out with absolute denial written on their faces, he just stands with a smirk on his face...bless

Foxy:

Thank you muchly for locking the other thread. I was researching and writing notes in/on my microsoft outlook account when i heard the royal news and, for want of ease (teach me to not be so blummin lazy), wrote the (for want of a better word...)..'tribute' to him and then copied and pasted it in to the now locked thread. I had not noticed that i had set (not even sure that i did, perhaps it was an auto preset) the pages on the notebook to a strange pink colour and that copied to the thread. Not a big problem granted but, being the perfectionist that i am, i tried to edit the thread to remove the back colour carried over from microsoft and (unsurprisingly so) made a right mess of it.

Thank you again for locking it.

...icey
