Well the best people to ask is the company that makes the foam not the sellers, dealers or distibuters.
In this case, type 4 it is probably KSR as they make most of the foam for the US military, most of aviation and automotive foams.
They say it isn't compatible, along with yellow, grey and both blue types.

 

We did accelerated tests on foam supplied by the KSR tech department, in 100% ethanol it started to break up after 3-4 months. Now it looks like one of those snowman ornaments. So no evidence at all to say it is.
