Yep that's my thinking, but I don't know Enough about how it all worksIf the problem dies not occur with other maps you would have thought it could be tweaked out of the Courtenay map?

Brushed it aside when I first mentioned it ( while running in, before mapping) I owe them an email as I said I'd update them after my track day last Saturday ( aborted because of traction control failure)Ivor what have Courtenay said about it?
I'll email them this week and update you all
Thanks for taking the interest

Amazing, that's exactly what it's doing. Do you have any more details on what you did, where you got the top hat from etc
What I did was purchase a stainless aftermarket top hat. I then took it to a local metal fabricator and got him to weld a take off (approximately horizontal on the outer bottom side of the bend). Then I fitted a Forge recirculation valve and fed the already metered air (as mentioned above) back in to my ProAlloy intake pipe where the rocker box ventilation is supposed to connect to vent back in to the system. My rocker box vents to air. I did go to the trouble of fitting a catch tank and valve initially to the vent but when I came to clean it after a year or so there was so little/no residue it wasn't worth while. I seem to remember Batman agreed with me on this. When I first experienced this problem, I drove straight from Courtenays to Switzerland, and in fact I was quite annoyed that they hadn't explained this issue to me in more detail and the requirement to 'drive around' the problem. I'm surprised that this has not been addressed after all this time because driving around the problem is not an ideal solution.

What diameter is the takeoff from the top hat?
Is the recirculation valve vacuum operated?
I too have become used to the symptoms.
It’s a pity because otherwise the car has been faultless since being mapped by Courtenay all those years ago.

Fast on track to be sure, no real issues, as hard acceleration all the time I guess. So how was the new set up on track?
